Why We Started TrailCrate

We're Lacy and Colton, the husband-and-wife team behind TrailCrate.

The idea really came from thinking about one of the harder parts of being out on a long trail. You're eventually going to need more food, you might need to replace a piece of gear, or you might just need something you didn't think to bring in the first place.

Finding the stuff isn't really the problem. Getting it to you is.

When you're miles from home and your next stop might be a small town, hostel, outfitter, or post office, you need somebody you can actually count on to get your stuff there when you need it.

That's the gap we want TrailCrate to fill.

We want you to be able to pick out what you need, tell us where you're headed and when you expect to get there, and let us handle the rest. And if you're just getting ready for a trip and want something sent to your front door, we can do that too.

We're still building TrailCrate and growing what we offer, but the goal has been pretty simple from the beginning: make getting the things you need on the trail a whole lot easier.
